Wrap around Club
Breakfast Club
We offer a breakfast club which provides a free breakfast for all children. There is a selection of healthy cereals and toast, milk and water.
Children can be dropped off at 8.00am and the cost for the childcare is £2.50.
Children can also attend the breakclub at 8.30 for a small cost of 70p. (£2.50 all week)
After breakfast, children are taken to their classes ready for registration at 8.45pm.
All our staff are highly trained and all have experience in first aid and food hygiene. The children are based in the KS2 dining hall and we have a wide range of exciting resources and wider facilities to make their time at breakfast club a fun and welcoming one.
At Oakfield we also are in partnership woth the The National School Breakfast Programme, run by Family Action and funded by the Department for Education. It supports schools, like ours, to provide children with a healthy breakfast, at the start of the school day.
As part of the programme all children are offered a bagel during registration, providing all pupils with a healthy school breakfast, without barrier or stigma. can Evidence shows that breakfast helps to set up pupils to succeed and give them the very best chance to learn.
