Welcome to Class 9- Key Stage 1 Dual Speech and Language Base
Welcome to our Oakfield Class 9 webpage for ‘Roald Dahl'.
You will gain an insight into our wonderful family and we will share our learning journey throughout the year with you.

You will find information about our topics for each term below under the correct term.
Year 1 - Mainstream class reading books to be returned to school in the reading wallet. | Year 1- P.E with mainstream class. Come into school in full kit. | Year 1- Mainstream reading books to be sent home. Books should be returned on Monday. | Reception- P.E with mainstream class. Come into school in full kit. | |

Reception- Mainstream homework-Phonics phased reading books, sent home over the weekend to read. Home Learning Task - set to be completed by the following Friday. |

Reading should be completed at least three times a week, for at least 10 minutes. Every day - Please remember your water bottles (water only), school bags, coats (appropraite for the weather). *please ensure that ALL items are clearly labelled with your child's name. |
Our journey in the Key Stage 1 Base will be exciting! We provide lots of varied experiences that will enhance the learning curriculum.

Learning is based around speech and language and will be planned, linked to your child’s individual speech and language targets. The children will have daily 1:1 speech and language sessions, following targets from their speech and language care plans. The children will also undertake a variety of speech and language interventions to further develop their speech and language skills.Chatterbug will visit the children throughout the year to complete therapy and review/update their speech and language targets. |
