Daily Mile
As part of our wider strategy of encouraging children to live active and healthy lifestyles, all children and teaching staff participate in The Daily Mile.
Regardless of weather conditions, all classes have an allocated time-slot each day when class work stops and physical activity starts. The children go outdoors to complete 15 minutes around the school field track/playground, jogging or running, at their own pace, for the 15 minutes. The minimum expectation is for each child to stay moving during the allotted time. Staff happily assist those children with mobility issues.
There is substantial research demonstrating the benefits of The Daily Mile initiative – we are only too pleased to add our name to the list of advocates in providing your child with better outcomes.
